Having babies is not for everyone. Some women choose not to have kids – keep the pockets full and the breasts upright. However, most women will experience the joy of having a baby and being on maternity leave. And since 2015, men can experience more than just 2 weeks of paternity leave if they dare – as Shared Parental Leave was introduced – finally! Whether or not you can live off the pay is another matter.
As women, we often find ourselves at home with baby 24-7, sometimes with no family or friends near by. This joyful time with baby can also become lonely and cause us to crave adult company. Who wouldn’t like to do more with their baby than sit in a coffee shop eating cakes and biscuits or going to rhyme time and mastering all the actions of the nursery rhymes, all of which you can now sing backwards!
Buzylizzy is a family club in the UK created with parents on parental leave in mind. The club offers various classes from prenatal classes, activetots classes, to postnatal fitness classes. So you can go to class with your baby, let your hair down, and start getting your body back! There are a wide range of classes to choose from and the Busylizzy App makes booking a class easy. Not only is it great to be able to attend fitness classes with your little one, but the Busylizzy Club is a great place to meet other families, and get the chance to attend their free educational talks on things like sleep training and first aid. And what’s more, the club is open 51 weeks of the year!
As a parent who’s attended the class with my 3-year-old daughter, I thought the class was great, and my daughter loved it! The instructor was very friendly and great with the kids, and the class music and dance were very well structured to the kids. The grandparents, parents, nannies and all their kids were up singing and dancing.
I think the classes are a fantastic way for moms to meet other like-minded moms and get their fit on! The classes are totally adapted to mums and babies, so no need to worry about bursting your little one’s eardrums, or about what happens if your child starts crying. And don’t think that you’re too unfit either – classes are fully adaptable. I love seeing both moms and babies enjoying the class.
